Welcome to M.E.L., a new digital platform for independent artists and creatives serving as a holistic alternative to the corporate rat race for promotion and community.
Founded by global musician and former nuclear fission researcher Melanie Edwards, M.E.L. (Melanie Edwards Laboratories™) is a digital media and e-commerce company created with digitally active artists in mind.
“I’m trying to minimize all that vastness of the internet for musicians and creators who are trying to be heard” said Edwards “Etsy is SO MASSIVE, Spotify and iTunes are just too big to discover a new artist. Independent makers maintain authenticity and often create the best products because the industry hasn’t dominated or interfered with their integrity. I want to provide a space for these extraordinary talents to sell their work, gain exposure, and maintain a sense of creative community.”
After touring nationally and internationally with her symphonic laboratory, Edwards created the M.E.L digital storefront to host diverse collections of extraordinary, independent artisans, entrepreneurs, creatives and collectors. It will also serve as a platform for shared inspiration, wellness tips, community, service, holistic articles and art.
M.E.L. will feature curated finds from Edwards as she discovers them on her musical science journey. Edwards is also welcoming pitches from artists and creatives, visionary or artisan who would like to be showcased on the site. Interested artists can email firstname.lastname@example.org.
